The DC Fire Hockey Team is made up of firefighters and officers from the District of Columbia Fire Department. Active since the mid-1990's and growing in popularity every year, our members range in skill from players new to the game to players with a lifetime of hockey playing experience. The team currently competes in the Bronze 1 division of the Gardens Ice House Adult Hockey Leage in Laurel, MD.
In addition to league play, the team regularly travels to compete in tournaments across the country and Canada, and hosts a yearly charity tournament.

Season starts tonight. DC Fire Hockey takes on Howard Heat in the opening game of the season tonight in laurel. Game time is 2210 so if you are up late come cheer us on!
Registration for the new season is now open. We will be playing Bronze 1 at Laurel. Season starts 9/7 (first game TBA) and registration closes 10/7. You can’t play until you are registered so get it done soon. Register via the Gardens Ice House website at http://thegardensicehouse.pointstreaksites.com/. Let ue know if you have any questions.
After playing a full weekend of hockey in our Annual Burn foundation Benefit Tournament, DC Fire fell 7-5 to Meltdown in the first round of the GIHAHL Bronze 2 Playoffs. It was a great season everyone, see you next year!
DC Fire Hockey’s winter league regular season is over, which can only mean one thing…its time for the Annual DC Firefighter Burn Foundation Tournament, which will take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 8-10 at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD. Jason Tarbell stopped all 3 shooters he faced, while “MVPaul” Peterson scored DC’s lone shootout goal to secure the victory. Peterson also had one goal in regulation to compliment a hat trick from Bob Thorne. DC plays again Monday March 21st at 9:50 pm in Laurel. See you there!

A Dave Williams goal with 6 seconds left on the clock lifted DC Fire over the Polar Beers by a score of 5-4. DC also had goals from John Anderson, Nick Bittel, and Tim Riley (2). Come join us at our next game, Thursday, February 4th at 9:40pm in Laurel.
